The following are the core beliefs of Assyrian Evangelical Church based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

We believe that Godhead eternally exists in three persons: God the father, God the son, and God the Holy Spirit (John 10:30, 36; Galatians 4:6; Acts 2:17-18; Genesis 1:26, 3:22, 11:7; Isaiah 6:8; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; John 14:6; II Corinthians 13:13).
We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of virgin Mary, and received a human body; yet, He retained His absolute deity, at the same time being truly God and truly man (John 1:1-13, 1:14-18; Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 2:9; Matthew 1:16-25; Luke 1:31, 2:7, 2:11; Galatians 4:4; Hebrews 2:14; Hebrews 1:8; Titus 2:13; John 10:30, 38; John 5:17-20; Revelation 1:8; Revelation 22:12-13; Hebrews 1:1-3; John 17:5; I Timothy 3:16; Colossians 1:13; John 14:9).
We believe in the deity and personality of the Holy Spirit, who dwells in every true believer and enables him/her to live a holy life and do the work of the Lord through His guidance (Ezekiel 36:27, 37:28; John 16:13; 1 John 2:27)

We believe that the Bible is the inerrant and infallible word of God, written through the unique inspiration of the Holy Spirit. By this we understand that the whole Bible is inspired in the sense that holy men of God “were moved by the Holy Spirit” to write the very words of Scriptures.
We believe that this divine inspiration extends equally in full to all parts of the writings: historical, poetical, doctrinal, and prophetical as appeared in the original manuscripts (II Peter 1:21; Exodus 20:1; II Timothy 3:16; I Thessalonians 2:13; I Corinthians 2:11-14; I Corinthians 14:37; II Samuel 23:2).

We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature (Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23, 6:23; Isaiah 59:2).

We believe that according to the Scriptures, the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins as a substitutionary sacrifice and that whoever believes in Him is justified on the ground of His shed blood. Salvation is by grace through faith only and not of ourselves, it is the gift of God.  (Ephesians 2:8; Isaiah 53; II Corinthians 5:21; John 1:29; John 3:16; Hebrews 9:28; Peter 2:24; Peter 3:18; Colossians 2:14; I Corinthians 15:1-3; Romans 5:6-8; Galatians 3:13; Romans 3:25; Colossians 1:20,21; Colossians 2:10; Acts 13:38,39; Romans 3:22; I Corinthians 6:9-11).
We believe in the bodily resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ and His present intercession in heaven for the saints (Hebrews 9:24).

We believe that the body of the church is composed of all those who personally receive Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord (Acts 5:14).

The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We believe in the imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in power and glory to judge the living and the dead
(Acts 17:31; Romans 2:16; 2 Timothy 4:1).

We believe in the real existence of Satan
(Revelation 12:7-9; I Peter 5:8; Luke 4:5-7; Isaiah 14).

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead; of the believers to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord; and of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting punishment. (John 5:28; Acts 24:14-15; Daniel 12:13; Luke 14:14; Philippians 3:20; Matthew 25:41).
